The pilot laboratory is located in Nanshan Building (about 121.3 square meters), Xinzhuang Campus, Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing. The laboratory can be used for graduate design, food machinery and equipment teaching practice, beverage pilot production and other teaching activities. It is designed to accommodate 32 students. The laboratory provides the equipment, instruments and glassware required for the above courses. The key equipment of the laboratory are juice pilot production line and water treatment system. The total value of instruments and equipment is more than 950,000 RMB. The laboratory mainly serves for teaching and research, and its main teaching objects are food science and engineering students. At present, the laboratory undertakes two national college students' innovation training project, one provincial college students' innovation training project, and three university students' innovation training projects. In this laboratory, students can design and develop new fruit juice drinks, and conduct pilot production of fruit juice drinks, test the maturity of technology and process, market acceptance of new products, and accelerate the commercialization of scientific research achievements. This laboratory is of great significance to cultivate students' ability to design and develop new products and lay a solid foundation for future work related to food engineering.
This is the pilot scale fruit juice production line. The system completely simulates industrial production and is a copy of industrial production line. It can be used for teaching and demonstrating all production processes. It is suitable for clear juice, cloudy juice, concentrated juice and jam products, from cleaning, fruit inspection, crushing, extrusion, preheating and inactivation of enzymes, enzymatic hydrolysis, filtration, mixing, degassing, homogenization and other products to obtain a complete production line system. With the need to demonstrate to visitors in mind, the pipes are laid out so that each operating system unit can form its own system.
The system includes raw water tank, multi-media filter, activated carbon filter, ion softening system/dosing system, precision filter and reverse osmosis system, etc. The original tank is used to precipitate large sediment particles in water; Multiple filter layer filter can remove sediment, rust, colloidal substances, suspended particles contained in the raw water; Shell activated carbon filter can not only adsorb electrolyte ions, but also ion exchange adsorption. The precision filter removes suspended solids, non-curved solids and colloid in the water, making the RO system and other follow-up equipment run more safely and reliably.
